Danny Miller Band playing this Tuesday at Chill on the Hill

Harmonica-driven blues will be ringing about Humboldt Park when the Danny Miller Band takes the stage at the Chill on the Hill. The Chill is a free weekly concert in the Humboldt Park Bandshell that happens every Tuesday through August 26. Opening that night at 6:00 will be the local Bay View band Informal Blues. Danny Miller takes the stage at 6:30. We look forward to hearing them both!

Milwaukee’s beautiful Humboldt Park on the south side is host to the Chill on the Hill concert. According to the Chill’s press kit,

“Chill on the Hill is a family-friendly event taking place every Tuesday night and parking is plentiful. Opening acts comprised of local school and youth groups will begin the fun at 6:00 pm with bands taking the stage at 6:30. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the eclectic mix of music that the Chill on the Hill planning committee is working hard to provide. Additionally, the Milwaukee County Parks concessions truck will be on-hand for refreshments.”

Esprit d’Brass will be playing on July 29. The Chickadees and The Figureheads will be playing on Kids and Family Night on August 5. Reilly (Irish folk and rock) is on August 12. The Urbanites will be soaking the park with their reggae sounds on the 19th, and the concert season closes on August 26 with Swing Nouveau.

Big thanks to Milwaukee County Parks, the Bay View Neighborhood Association, and all of our sponsors for making this great event happen.
