Great news for one of Milwaukee’s rivers

The Kinnickinnic River, one of the three rivers that flow through Milwaukee (along with the Menominee and Milwaukee rivers), will be getting a $24 million cleanup from the federal government. Most of the work to remove the nasty polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) that currently sit in the river will take place next year according to the brief JSO story. This is tax money well spent, and I’m glad to see our little river getting some attention it so badly needs.
