Milwaukee’s first Eating Liberally was a great success!

Query: What happens when you get twenty area liberals, progressives, and assorted lefties together in the same restaurant?

Answer: A good time is had by all!

Indeed, the first Eating Liberally went smashingly very well. Transfer Pizzeria Cafe graciously took in our huddled and hungry masses and gave (well, sold) us great food. Next month’s eating will be up at Beans & Barley up on the fashionable east side. As always, Eating Liberally meets on the first Wednesday of each month. If you’d like to be on our announcement list, you can sign up on the Living Liberally web site. It’s on the top of the left-hand side of the page. We promise we won’t send you anything except announcements for Eating Liberally and Drinking Liberally.

Thanks to Transfer, and Jeff, our fine host, for making it happen, and a big thanks to everyone who came! We’ll see you at Drinking Liberally in two weeks, and Eating Liberally (at Beans & Barley) on October 1.

  1. Believe it or not, there are “area liberals, progressives, and assorted lefties” on the west side. It would be a treat if you could schedule one of each gathering in the West Allis/Wauwatosa area.

  2. Actually, we’re going to meet at Maxie’s Southern Comfort‎ early next year. And next summer, we’ll be meeting at farmers markets, location TBA, but we can definitely find one out that way. Thanks for the suggestion!
