Debate ’08 #2: 700 + 300 = 1,000, yes?

The fraud bank bailout costs us and our children 700 billion dollars.

John McCain just proposed a 300 billion dollar mortgage buyout.

So that would be 1,0000 billion dollars, also known as a trillion. The war in Iraq hasn’t cost that much yet. (Key word: yet.)

This is from the “I slashed spending” John McCain?

Also striking to me was watching the auditorium after the debate. Barack and Michelle Obama were circulating about the room. I squeezed Stacie’s arm and said, “They’re working the room like we do!” That was cool. The Obamas were indeed working the room, circling about and talking to and connecting with the attendees, orbiting each other, occasionally trading glances. No, we’re probably not going to be nearly as high-reaching as the Obamas, but it was still very cool to see another political couple in action.
