Quality of Life Alliance presents solid arguments for property tax referendum

As you know, the county is sliding into a deep, deep hole. Without a new source of revenue, we face major reductions in transit service in 2010, the continued deterioration of our parks, infrastructure and recreation services. The things you take for granted in Milwaukee County that make it a great place to live and work.

The Quality of Life Alliance is dedicated to showing people how voting yes on the upcoming property taxes referendum. When we cast our votes for president this November, we’ll also get to cast our vote on a way to lower property taxes in Milwaukee County.

To address one thing right off the bat, food, prescriptions, gasoline are exempt from sales taxes. The price would not be affected by the referendum. But at the same time, we would see a reduction in property taxes. That’s something that no one who’s been up in arms about property taxes in the past ten years has been able to actually accomplish. Here’s our chance. Let’s do it!

Vote Yes on the property tax referendum on November 4.
