Shades of Florida 2000: Harassing early voters in NC

While the final votes have yet to be cast, this scene of people harassing early voters in North Carolina recalls the scene from November and December 2000, when Bush supporters, many of them paid Republican operatives, posed (albeit effectively) as street protesters, trying to stop the recount of the fatally flawed Miami-Dade ballots. We even know who they were.

It’s not clear who harassed the early voters today. It may not have been the work of paid GOP staff. But the fact is that voter harassment is happening and Senator McCain must put a stop to it immediately.
