Milwaukee celebrates “The End of an Error!”

Tonight we had an effing fantastic party that brought many people together to celebrate the inauguration of President Barack Obama!

I organized a few people to help me — three neighbors and my almost-wife and I cooked food, which all disappeared very fast. We honored New Orleans with music and food (and beads), cheered “our first fairly elected president in eight years!”

We made mass quantities of red beans and rice (makes everything nice!), and we had far more people than we expected; thus the food went very fast.  (and they LIKED IT!)

We had a person appearance by George Dubya hisself! In an orange jump suit and chains no less… which gave us the perfect excuse to have a shoe-throwing contets! Okay, we used slippers, hats, and scarves… but I think it was very therapeutic. I got the crowd chanting “na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good-bye!” as I escorted <<el presidente>> from the room after we’d given prizes to our most spirited and creative Dubya-whackers… hell, the whole damn BAR was singing it as I saw him to the front door!

And… President Obama. Wow… it’s still sinking in.

I gotta say it was a good day.
