Dear Scott Walker, Part 2: Thank you.

It’s now known to the world that I am not a budding poet. That said, for the past week, it’s been known to me that as many as 300 Milwaukee County workers were waiting with dread and anticipation for word of whether they would be getting pink slips straight from Scott Walker.

Now comes word that the county workers are just yo-yos that can be casually tossed about by the county exec. The decision, he decided, will not be made now, but perhaps in August. That’s two more month’s work and pay, and two more months of wait and dismay. There’s nothing like waiting to hear if your job’s gotten the axe, or for your life’s path to be determined like that.

Thank you, Scott Walker, for making my friend’s lives a little bit of living hell. I hope it helps you in the Republican primary.

  1. It’s not just the workers.

What about the people that depend on these services? The elderly and the poor that need help. Mentally ill clients that only take their medication when monitored would not have that safety net. Juvenile delinquents would have freer rein, since there would be less probation agents to track them.

But thank you for your concern.
