Two more big endorsements for Larson

Big news came across the wire (the wireless?) from the Chris Larson campaign that the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriff’s Associaion and AFSCME have both endorsed him. According to the announcement, Deputy Sheriff’s Association president Roy Felber said, “Supervisor Chris Larson is a strong advocate for law enforcement professionals. As a State Senator, he will fight to make sure we have the tools we need to keep the citizens of Milwaukee County safe. We are proud to endorse his campaign.”

He’s got a lot of other unions on his side that are ready to do doors with him: the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 998; the Service Employees International Union, the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals; and the American Federation of Teachers, Local 212, MATC Faculty and Staff. I’m cautiously optimistic that he’ll carry it in September, which I’ll help by doing doors and making calls myself.

I am a resident of the Bay View neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a member of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. That sometimes comes up on here, as it's kind of a small part of my life. No official county business happens here. I'm mostly using this now to give a rough draft account of how we're dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. God help us all.
