Why all the attention to the RNC Chair race?

As I remarked over on Illy T’s blog, I’m a bit amazed at how much attention the RNC chairman race has received, given how few people can vote for that seat. (The number, by the way, is 168.) You’d think it was the next presidential election with all the heat it’s getting.

While one may think that I’d be making a lot more blog posts, what with my graduation from college and my schedule having (momentarily) “opened like to petals of the lotus flower — though not nearly as ‘groovy‘ as that sounds.” Instead, this blog has been kind of inactive for a while. With good reason.

Howdy to “The Milwaukee Drum”

The Milwaukee Drum bills itself as “African-American News and Commentary For Metro Milwaukee.” I hope it provides a much-needed change from the constant drumbeat monotone of color in most Milwaukee-area blogs, which are, as far as I’ve seen, written by and large written by white people. A change in perspective is welcome, and needed. Howdy!

When McBride and the Right help the Left

They’re generous. More generous than they should be. My blog stats went boi-oiii-oing when word of the Flynn-McBride affair hit the interwebs, as did Folkbum‘s and Wallah‘s. In fact, for a brief and shining day, I was almost half as well-read as Dan Cody. That’s something to aspire to! Thank you, Jessica, for completing us.
