Just a little distracted, sir.

As you may know, Stacie and I are expecting a baby pretty much any day now. The due date is July 21, but her family trends early. So he may be here anywhere between the fifth and the fifteenth. I don’t want him to come tomorrow, as we’d have to name him something he’d get endless ribbings about for years. (“Your parents named you America FUCKYEAH? Dude! Your parents are weird.”) Are names like that even allowed in the name registry? Never mind the brazen preposterousness of doing that…

(Und nein, Herr Blogger Capper, sein Name ist nicht Helmut.)

So then. We have a probable first name — to be revealed once he’s here.

Assuming that he doesn’t come within the next forty-eight hours, I will be in a few south side parades with a few south side politicians over the next two days. (Good guys, all of them.)

That said, politics and gardening-related posts will likely be limited over the next week or so. I’ve got a bit of gardening stuff to talk about, possibly with pictures. Very descriptive wording at least.

As always, we’ll see. Could be soon. Could be later. We’ll see.

Have a happy Fourth of July. I’ll let you know if anything exciting happens.

I am a resident of the Bay View neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a member of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. That sometimes comes up on here, as it's kind of a small part of my life. No official county business happens here. I'm mostly using this now to give a rough draft account of how we're dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. God help us all.

        Capper Heimie Hass?

Or better yet, N. Pfeiffer. Then in school, the teacher can call for Haas, N. Pfeiffer.
